Permainan Lontar Pundi Kacang! Tiga pemain: Amir, Bella dan Chong. Setiap pemain melontar pundi kacang 3 kali ke atas grid. Baca kedudukan pundi, lihat jadual markah, dan kira jumlah. Markah tertinggi menang!
bean bag = pundi kacang; throw = lontar; score table = jadual markah
This unit reviews the whole chapter with a game. A 5 by 5 grid is drawn on the floor with a picture in every box. Amir, Bella and Chong take turns throwing a bean bag onto the grid, 3 times each. Wherever the bag lands, read that box's position, look up the picture's score in the table, and add the 3 scores together. The highest total wins.
Example: if the bag lands on a star, the star is worth 5 points.
Watch out: the position must be read correctly first, or you will find the wrong picture and the wrong score.

Pundi di atas garis → lontar semula
rules = peraturan; points = markah; on the line = di atas garis
The score table says: star 5 points, apple 4, fish 3, flower 2 and leaf 1. After every throw, first read the box where the bag landed, letter first and then number as always; then see which picture is in that box and look up its score. If the bag lands on a line, no single box can be named, so that throw does not count and the player throws again.
Example: a bag landing on A1 finds a star, so it scores 5 points.
Watch out: a bag on a line must be thrown again; choosing a box yourself would not be fair play.
Lontaran 1 · Amir
Objek apakah di petak itu? Berapa markah?
Pundi Amir jatuh di: D3
Markah: ⭐ 5 · 🍎 4 · 🐟 3 · 🌸 2 · 🍃 1
first throw = lontaran 1; lands on = jatuh di
Amir's bag lands on D3. Find D along the bottom and go up that column to row 3; that box holds a star, which the score table makes 5 points. The leaf worth 1 point is at C4, the box you reach by swapping the letter and number of D3, and the fish worth 3 is at D4, one row too high.
Example: landing on E1 finds a fish, worth 3 points.
Watch out: find the box, then the picture, then the score, without skipping a step.
total score = jumlah markah; three throws = tiga lontaran
Amir's three throws land on D3, B4 and E5. D3 is a star, 5 points; B4 is an apple, 4 points; E5, the top-right corner, is also an apple, 4 points. The total is 5 + 4 + 4 = 13 points. 6 points comes from swapping the letter and number of all three positions, and 9 points adds only two throws and leaves out E5.
Example: three throws that all land on leaves score only 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 points.
Watch out: add one score for every throw, then count to make sure none is missing.
matching scores = padankan markah
Bella's bag lands in four boxes. A5, the top-left corner, is a leaf worth 1 point. C1, the bottom of the middle column, is an apple worth 4. B2, second column and second row, is a flower worth 2. E2, the right-most column in the second row, is a fish worth 3. All four scores differ, so misreading one box spoils the match.
Example: A1 is a star worth 5 points, in the same column as A5 but the highest score.
Watch out: B2 and E2 are both in row 2, so the letter decides left or right.
winner = pemenang; compare = bandingkan
Add up each player's points. Amir: star 5 + apple 4 + apple 4 = 13. Bella: leaf 1 + apple 4 + fish 3 = 8. Chong: C5 star 5 + A2 apple 4 + E1 fish 3 = 12. 13 is the largest, so Amir wins. Chong is only 1 point behind, and Bella has the fewest.
Example: if Chong's E1 had been A1, a star, he would have 14 points and win.
Watch out: work out all three totals before comparing; do not stop at the first big number.
working backwards = cari kedudukan daripada markah
Chong's first two throws are A1, a star worth 5, and E4, a flower worth 2, making 7 points. To reach exactly 10 he needs 10 − 7 = 3 more points, and 3 points is a fish. Among the options, A3 holds a fish, so the answer is A3. C1 is an apple worth 4, giving 11, and B3 is a leaf worth 1, giving only 8.
Example: with 9 points already, hitting exactly 10 needs a leaf worth 1.
Watch out: work out how many points are missing, find a picture with that score, then read its position.
