加法故事 = cerita tambah 加法故事里东西要变多：体育场有 1 250 人，又来了 750 人，现在有 2 000 人。其余两个故事里的人“回家”了，人数变少，是减法。 例子：300 + 200 = 500 → 有 300 只鸡，又买了 200 只。 注意：看动词判断是变多还是变少。

addition story = cerita tambah In an addition story the amount grows: 1 250 people in the stadium, 750 more come, now 2 000. In the other stories people go home, which is subtraction. Example: 300 + 200 = 500 → 300 chickens, 200 more bought. Watch out: use the action word to decide whether the amount grows or shrinks.

储蓄加、花钱减 = simpan tambah, belanja tolak 先存了 150（+），再花了 300（−）：900 + 150 − 300 = 1 050 − 300 = 750。存钱会让钱变多，所以用加号；花钱会让钱变少，所以用减号。 例子：RM50 + RM20 − RM10 = RM60。 注意：要照故事发生的次序写算式。

saving adds, spending subtracts = simpan tambah, belanja tolak She saves 150 (+), then spends 300 (−): 900 + 150 − 300 = 1 050 − 300 = 750. Example: RM50 + RM20 − RM10 = RM60. Watch out: write the sentence in the order the story happens.
