比较大 = lebih besar 先数位数：一个是三位数，一个是四位数。位数多的数目比较大。 例子：850 和 1 020 → 1 020 有四位，所以比较大。 注意：999 的数字都是 9，但它只有三位。

greater = lebih besar Count the digits first: one number has three digits and the other has four. The number with more digits is greater. Example: 850 and 1 020 → 1 020 has four digits, so it is greater. Watch out: 999 has only 9s, but it has just three digits.

比较小 = lebih kecil 两个都是四位数，从千位开始比：千位、百位都一样，就看十位。十位比较小的数目比较小。 例子：2 730 和 2 703 → 十位 3 比 0 大，所以 2 703 比较小。 注意：题目问的是比较小的那一个。

smaller = lebih kecil Both have four digits, so start from the thousands. The thousands and hundreds are the same, so look at the tens. The number with the smaller tens digit is smaller. Example: 2 730 and 2 703 → tens 3 is more than 0, so 2 703 is smaller. Watch out: the question asks for the smaller number.

正确的句子 = ayat yang betul 先比较 7 032 和 7 023 谁大，再检查每个句子的说法是否和结果一样。 例子：如果 5 120 比 5 102 大，正确的句子是 5 120 lebih besar daripada 5 102。 注意：留意句子里哪一个数放在前面。

correct sentence = ayat yang betul First decide which is greater, 7 032 or 7 023, then check whether each sentence says the same thing. Example: if 5 120 is greater than 5 102, the correct sentence is 5 120 lebih besar daripada 5 102. Watch out: notice which number comes first in each sentence.

下一个数位 = tempat seterusnya 逐位比较是从左到右：千位 → 百位 → 十位 → 个位。千位一样时，下一步看哪一位？ 例子：比较 8 214 和 8 241，千位一样后，就比较下一个数位。 注意：不是从个位开始比。

next place = tempat seterusnya We compare from left to right: thousands → hundreds → tens → ones. When the thousands are the same, which place comes next? Example: comparing 8 214 and 8 241, after the thousands are equal we move to the next place. Watch out: we do not start comparing from the ones.

比较少 = lebih sedikit 比较少的意思就是数目比较小。逐位比较 2 640 和 2 604，找出比较小的那一个。 例子：甲店 3 520、乙店 3 502 → 乙店的数目比较小，所以乙店比较少。 注意：lebih sedikit 和 lebih kecil 的意思接近。

fewer = lebih sedikit Fewer means the smaller number. Compare 2 640 and 2 604 place by place and find the smaller one. Example: shop A 3 520, shop B 3 502 → shop B has the smaller number, so shop B has fewer. Watch out: lebih sedikit is close in meaning to lebih kecil.

算盘 = abakus；比较大 = lebih besar 先把两个算盘各自读成数目：从左到右数每一柱的珠子，写成千、百、十、个。然后逐位比较，找出比较大的那一个。 例子：算盘珠子 2、4、0、1 → 2 401；2、1、4、0 → 2 140；百位 4 比 1 大，所以 2 401 比较大。 注意：先读数，再比较，不要只看珠子的总数。

A is 2 thousands, 1 ten and 3 ones, which is 2 013; B is 1 thousand, 8 hundreds and 6 tens, which is 1 860. Then compare from the thousands. Example: 4 thousands (4 000) and 3 thousands plus 9 hundreds (3 900) → 4 000 is greater. Watch out: B has more pieces, but more pieces does not mean a greater number; look at the thousands.

在……之间 = di antara “之间”的数要同时满足两个条件：比 4 596 大，又比 4 601 小。可以在心里从 4 596 往上数：4 597、4 598、4 599、4 600，这些都在中间。 例子：在 2 318 和 2 322 之间的数有 2 319、2 320、2 321。 注意：4 590 比 4 596 小，4 602 比 4 601 大，都不在中间。

between = di antara A number between them must be greater than 4 596 and also smaller than 4 601. Count up from 4 596: 4 597, 4 598, 4 599, 4 600 are all between. Example: the numbers between 2 318 and 2 322 are 2 319, 2 320 and 2 321. Watch out: 4 590 is smaller than 4 596 and 4 602 is greater than 4 601, so neither is between.
