The answer is 30 m 20 cm. Example: 2 m 75 cm × 4 → 75 × 4 = 300 = 3 m → 8 + 3 = 11 → 11 m. Watch out: 29 m 20 cm carries only 1, and 28 m 220 cm has not been tidied up.

答案用厘米 = jawapan dalam cm 先把 1 m 25 cm 化成 125 cm，再算 125 × 8 = 1 000 cm。也可以先算 1 m 25 cm × 8 = 10 m，再化成 1 000 cm。 例子：1 m 50 cm × 4 = 150 × 4 = 600 cm。 注意：800 cm 只乘了 1 m；200 cm 只乘了 25 cm，两部分都要乘。

answer in centimetres = jawapan dalam cm First change 1 m 25 cm into 125 cm, then 125 × 8 = 1 000 cm. Or work out 1 m 25 cm × 8 = 10 m and then change it to 1 000 cm. Example: 1 m 50 cm × 4 = 150 × 4 = 600 cm. Watch out: 800 cm multiplies only the 1 m and 200 cm multiplies only the 25 cm; both parts must be multiplied.

solving from a table = selesaikan masalah daripada jadual The table shows yellow ribbons of 1 m 45 cm each, and there are 4 of them, so work out 1 m 45 cm × 4. Centimetres: 45 × 4 = 180 = 1 m 80 cm, write 80 and carry 1. Metres: 1 × 4 + 1 = 5. The answer is 5 m 80 cm. Example: red ribbons of 2 m 60 cm × 3 = 7 m 80 cm. Watch out: read the correct row, and note that 4 m 80 cm forgets to add the carried 1.
