Cabar Minda
Kedai ada beberapa botol minyak masak yang sama. Setiap botol berisi 750 mℓ. Jumlah isi padu semua botol ialah 3 000 mℓ.

这类思考题有三个步骤：① 找出故事里没有给的数，说出 anu 是什么；② 按故事写出含 □ 的算式；③ 求出 □。这一题不知道的是“有几瓶”。
例子：几杯果汁，每杯 200 mℓ，共 1 000 mℓ → anu 是杯数 → □ × 200 = 1 000 → 5。
注意：anu 要用文字说清楚，例如“瓶子的数目”。
state the unknown = nyatakan anu
These puzzles have three steps: ① find the number the story does not give and say what the anu is; ② write a number sentence with □ following the story; ③ find □. Here the unknown is how many bottles there are.
Example: some cups of juice, 200 mℓ each, 1 000 mℓ in all → the anu is the number of cups → □ × 200 = 1 000 → 5.
Watch out: say in words what the anu is, for example 'the number of bottles'.

Apakah anu dalam cerita minyak masak?
找出未知数 = cari anu
已经知道每瓶 750 mℓ、一共 3 000 mℓ。故事只说“几瓶”，没有说到底有多少瓶，所以 anu 是瓶子的数目。
例子：“几个箱子，每箱 20 本，共 100 本” → anu 是箱子数目。
注意：已经给出的数不是 anu。
find the unknown = cari anu
We know each bottle holds 750 mℓ and there are 3 000 mℓ altogether. The story only says 'some bottles', so the anu is the number of bottles.
Example: 'some boxes of 20 books, 100 books in all' → the anu is the number of boxes.
Watch out: numbers already given are not the anu.
Langkah 2 dan 3
Ayat matematik: □ × 750 = 3 000. Berapakah nilai anu?
求出未知数 = cari nilai anu
几个 750 合起来是 3 000？750 + 750 = 1 500，再加两个 750 = 3 000，一共 4 个。所以 □ = 4，有 4 瓶油。检查：4 × 750 = 3 000 ✔。
例子：□ × 250 = 1 000 → 4。
注意：2 250 是 3 000 − 750，用错了运算。
find the value of the unknown = cari nilai anu
How many 750s make 3 000? 750 + 750 = 1 500, and two more 750s make 3 000, so 4 altogether. □ = 4: there are 4 bottles. Check: 4 × 750 = 3 000 ✔.
Example: □ × 250 = 1 000 → 4.
Watch out: 2 250 is 3 000 − 750, the wrong operation.
Cuba lagi
Pak Hassan ada 96 biji rambutan. Dia mengikat semuanya, 8 biji dalam setiap ikat. Nyatakan anu dan tulis ayat matematik.
求除数的算式 = ayat bahagi, cari pembahagi
已经知道一共 96 颗、每捆 8 颗，不知道的是“绑成几捆”，这就是 anu。96 颗分成 □ 捆，每捆 8 颗 → 96 ÷ □ = 8。用乘法想：8 × 12 = 96，所以 □ = 12。
例子：“40 个学生分组，每组 5 人” → 40 ÷ □ = 5 → 8 组。
注意：也可以写成 □ × 8 = 96，但 anu 是捆数，不是红毛丹的总数。
sentence with a missing divisor = ayat bahagi, cari pembahagi
We know there are 96 rambutans and 8 in each bunch; the unknown is how many bunches, so that is the anu. 96 shared into □ bunches of 8 → 96 ÷ □ = 8. Think 8 × 12 = 96, so □ = 12.
Example: '40 pupils in groups of 5' → 40 ÷ □ = 5 → 8 groups.
Watch out: □ × 8 = 96 also works, but the anu is the number of bunches, not the total.
